I used to be calm about different LED strips, but some time ago I also bought just a white LED strip, I had it lying idle for a very long time, I didn't know where to apply it, it seems like the task is not very difficult, but I didn't see any sense in it.

But quite a long time ago, of course, before when there were no LED strips, I also made different decorative lighting, but mostly I just used Ilyich's ordinary bulbs, they had the glass painted in a certain color, red, blue or green, and in fact I installed the bulbs in different places and it was possible to make some interesting ones color solutions in the room, well, for management in general, I just used it, made a wire, held it, put a regular switch on this wire there and in fact in this way I could just turn on or on this decorative lighting from the sofa, of course now there are much more possibilities, there are different tapes of different types, both colored and just white, different temperatures, there are a large number of LEDs with a small one, bright, dim, absolutely for different needs, there are protected from water, there are unprotected ones, and of course there are a lot of control methods, that is, it is possible to control these tapes remotely and somehow there with commands or voice.

And of course, in addition to LED strips, there are other sources, various interesting things, these are filament lamps, in fact, also LED, but they look very beautiful and can be used in decorative lighting in the interior, and there are also various smart lamps that are also LED.

They allow, in principle, to easily make a smart home smart, put it there instead of some ordinary light bulb and also control it remotely or in another way.

I have such one light bulb and Yeelight, it is basically very good and shines quite normally, but it warms up as if it is not a light bulb, but a heater of some kind.

Well, LED strips are different, there are just those that shine the same color along the entire length, there is a tape with addressable LEDs, then you can make different combinations of lighting, and different running stripes and so on, if this tape is somehow placed in the form of a matrix, or buy a ready-made matrix, then you can generally display individual drawings or there is some kind of ambient effect to do, so that, for example, the TV has an adaptive beautiful backlight there.

There are also different lights, too, well, of course, now almost all are LED, but they support different modes, that is, the dawn mode, the mode of some effects there, fire or some other interesting lighting options, this can also be used in principle, and I already look a lot in this direction, and in fact I have I have three decorative lamps that I use in different rooms, I also have one on the balcony, there is of course the main effect of fire, it is very beautiful and therefore, in order not to use any real real candles, you can use this analog.

For control, of course, you can use different ways different communication interfaces, the simplest of course is to use an infrared remote control and use different, different devices through the script, try to control different devices and give different commands, you can use more advanced options, this is either some radio remote, say at 433 megahertz, or now there are more modern ones at 2.4 Gigahertz, which can also be used for control, you can use different scenario switches or buttons that will also turn on or off these lights and change their color there, but of course you need to look for a special device so that it is, for example, a dimmer of some kind, or a button that has many modes, or many buttons, and allows you to press a lot of different combinations and then of course you can use such devices to make different settings, and change the color, you can choose from pre-configured ones, you can do it in a more cunning way, for example, I have done it so that there is just a button that I press and it randomly selects the color there, well, of course, sometimes you have to, but in general, very interesting color combinations often appear, and you can also use it and remember it and then constantly turn it on, for example, in the evening you want the effect of some sunset there.

And of course, you can also write different scripts that will be processed, it can just be a script for general switching on or off and setting modes, or maybe, for example, I have a script that also randomly selects a color and changes this color on the LED strip at intervals of once a minute, basically looks like quite interesting and not particularly annoying, but since switching abruptly occurs, then of course you can either do a special mode to smoothly change the color, well, I tried to do it for 5 seconds, this is in principle quite inconvenient, especially when you turn it off or on, it also works like this and sometimes it is unclear whether the power button worked or did not work.

Different interaction options are used, it may be the driver from the tape does not have its own buttons, then of course it is necessary to use the wireless switch off or give a voice command and control this driver through integration, so of course when I press the button it may turn out that the signal did not pass and the tape does not turn off, for some reason, either the server was unavailable, or just some delay in time and such a smooth change is not very clear.

But in general, it is also possible, for example, to make a script like I have a mode that just slightly changes the color of each channel of red, green, blue and smoothly changes this color of the LED strip, this is also interesting, that is, over time, this tape gradually changes its modes.

The tapes themselves are also different, sometimes they are on a constant voltage, mostly these are of course colored tapes, such as can be dimmed, but in principle there are also those on a constant current and there is a different driver used, but in fact it is also all possible to use and there are special drivers for such tapes.

The tapes themselves are now quite convenient, that is, it is possible to cut it in increments of say 10 centimeters, and of course you can choose the right length for this, if you need to somehow direct it somewhere, bend it, then of course there are different connectors, I tried several options very convenient, of course I had to tinker, you need to use still pliers, so that there is a good connection of all this, but the connection itself is quite simple, you do not need to solder anything, especially if this tape has some kind of sealed housing, that is, it is soldered on top and the connectors themselves are very small, that is, there we will allow it for several different colors, and different separate control of warm LEDs and cold, then of course it will be very difficult to solder the wires there qualitatively and therefore such a connector, on the one hand a wire with six wires inside is inserted and on the other hand the tape is connected there and of course it can be connected very quickly in this way, of course I had to tinker with calling the wires so that they work correctly, but this is the first time in general-it was and of course if there are several times to do so, then with experience, in principle, it becomes much easier to set up and then of course such feeds can be used in a smart home in many scenarios.
